What was life like in Portugal?
Honestly if I could do it all again I would in a heartbeat. The atmosphere, the people, the food and I cant forget the lovely hotel. Don’t worry ill get into all of that in just a second. Like I mentioned in my last post it was a frightful decision that turned into one of the best ever experiences that had happened in my life. Traveling had been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. Now that I have it crossed off I feel as if I was made to travel the world whether it’s alone, with my partner or a close friend/relative. Believe me traveling with more than 2 is a handful. (In My Opinion)
I stayed in Lagos which is south of Portugal in the region of Algarve. Some parts of Portugal reminded me of pictures that i’d seen of Amsterdam. Narrow pathways, small back street shops and markets. Almost everything was of walking distance, markets, supermarkets, McDonalds, Aldi and the beach. 4/5 days I stayed there the weather was stunning, nothing below 25°. It showered on the second to last day but there was still humidity in the air and I still managed to take a little stroll through the town center which was no more than a 5 minute walk.
The McDonalds I managed to eat everyday without fail. I don’t know why but there was something special about their chicken nuggets I just couldn’t stop eating them.
I visited Lagos Zoo and got to feed a Kangaroo for the very first time ! I couldn’t believe it. I’m a big fan of Zoo’s and getting to see animals I’ve never seen before. I even love experiences like this one…You know it would be a dream come true to hold a baby monkey…..
The very first time I had ever ordered a salad. I was starving at the time and disappointed with the choices on the menu. I never thought of salads being filling so I was hesitant at first. But I love chicken and love bacon I also love croutons and thought nothing could go wrong. I wasn’t too sure about the orange and pineapples but guys this salad was THE BEST SALAD I HAVE EVER TASTED IN MY WHOLE ENTIRE EXISTENCE !
Guys the food is A-Mazing ! I’m a huge sea food fan so I found myself eating a lot of Salmon and Shrimp (Mmmmm my fave!) and of course whats better than a chocolate desert? NOTHING
I know my photography skills aren’t so great Lol but I’ll get there eventually. But Portugal was an amazing experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.
